Solved [Already possible] [Suggestion] IRC style log.

    Hi

It may be kind for admins to have a IRC style log for TS3 server.
It might be useful for a statistics usage.
Files may be separate by virtual server as follow
    log/1.log for virtual server 1
    log/2.log for virtual server 2
    log/3.log for virtual server 3

We will be able to parse logs with an external program to make HTML reports or graphs on daily basis or more.

We could have data such as server start/stop,
When client connect/disconnect/kicked/banned from the server.
When client join/part/moved/kick/ban from a channel
    File server activity
..... so many things i dont ever think

Yes, i know that there is bots/tools for statistics but it had to be connected 24/7 to each servers.
It will be more efficient if the TS3 server could provide a clean and official log.

    Bye

    Goof

Logs are already separated by virtual server, file names follow the following pattern: ts3server_%YEAR%-%month%-%day%__%hour%_%minute%_%second%.%microseconds%_%Se rverId%.log and are stored in the specified log directory.

The date and time is from when the instance started, the server will not create a new set of files at certain times.
However since there are time stamps in front each log line, that shouldn't be an issue since you know when each event was created.

If you enable all the logging options on the virtual server (edit virtual server -> more -> logging) just about everything you mentioned will be logged.

    Thank you.
    It's working.
It's just lacking the part/join/moved entries for each clients that change of channel.
It will do the trick for now.

    Bye

That pattern is right of course if you don't use the logappend=1 option in server startup. If you do the file format is: ts3server_%ServerId%.log

I'm restarting my server every days at 7h00 so i will have one file per days.
