I have just updated 2 servers from 3.0.6.1 to 3.0.7 and do not have the permissions available.

All Server Admin groups have i_group_auto_update_type 45 set.

In the client searching for the opus codec shows nothing and when I attempt to add the permissions via ServerQuery i get invalid permission ID.

These are the permissions I attempted to add manually:
    b_channel_create_modify_with_codec_opusmusic
    i_needed_modify_power_channel_create_modify_with_c odec_opusvoice
    b_channel_create_modify_with_codec_opusmusic
    i_needed_modify_power_channel_create_modify_with_c odec_opusmusic

Both servers logs show database was updated and running correct version:
    2013-03-05 14:14:20.598849|INFO |ServerLibPriv | | TeamSpeak 3 Server 3.0.7 (2012-07-19 10:50:53)
    2013-03-05 14:14:20.599165|INFO |DatabaseQuery | | dbPlugin name: SQLite3 plugin, Version 2, (c)TeamSpeak Systems GmbH
    2013-03-05 14:14:20.599199|INFO |DatabaseQuery | | dbPlugin version: 3.7.3
    2013-03-05 14:14:20.599457|INFO |DatabaseQuery | | checking database integrity (may take a while)
    2013-03-05 14:14:21.033272|INFO |SQL | | database updated successfully to revision: 21

Looking at the SQL files the only mention of opus permissions exists in the defaults.sql and no where else. Shouldn't update 21 have had the required inserts to add these permissions?

EDIT: Nevermind, my issue was related to me mixing the builds up "TeamSpeak 3 Server 3.0.7 (2012-07-19 10:50:53)" and not "TeamSpeak 3 Server 3.0.7 (2013-03-02 06:03:25)"

I have tried again several times and I have found out that this has something to do with the Identities. If I add a new identity and connect using it, I connect to the right channel. If I try my normal identity, I will automatically join the default channel.

I did an additional try with deleting my saved bookmark for the server and it is still the same.

Additionally, I've found out that it is only possible to directly connect to channels where it is possible to join without special join rights. As I have tested this feature the last time (with setting a general server password), this was possible with any channel.
We cannot reproduce it working with the old client / server, if you have less join_power than the channel requires you will be in the lobby.

OK, thank you very much for testing it again Chris. I will set up a different machine for testing purpose to find out what can be the problem with my server.

Was the opus music quality intended? http://forum.teamspeak.com/showthrea...y-is-awful-now
Also noticed it on this topic.

    Aside from that, all great!

I've now tried this with version 3.0.7 again with different machines on different operating systems (e.g. Windows 8, FreeBSD) and everytime I got the same behavior.

Backgroundinformation: My identity is assigned to the standard serveradmin group. The server has not set a password in general.

I've found out that you are right with insufficient channel join power, but the serveradmins have sufficient channel join power for all this channels. Is this working as intended?

Regarding your last post, I tried this feature the last time exactly, when the temporary password feature came out. Unfortunately, I don't know the exact server build. But it was possible to let users join channels where they normally have insufficient join power.
I definately understand the point why this is not possible right now, but for my interests it would be perfect if i can add an optional server- or channelgroup to the temporary password. Together with a non-persistent group this can make this feature more powerfull.

Opus voice works perfectly, but Opus Music only works well with certain music you play through it, others have horrible sound artifacting as noted in the thread link that barricas posted.

Server updated to 3.0.7, no issues.
    W2K3 32 bit.
I saw Opus codecs & got excited. Thought maybe added feature to drop in playable music from server instead of 3rd party plugin..

No, a codec is only a codec.
