Nevermind. I figured it out myself. I went in and deleted two files manually..._old_qgif4.dll and _old_qjpeg4.dll...update was successful.

Same issue here tried multiple times and had the very same error message. I have not tried manually deleting any files yet. Tried a forth time and got "Failed to query latest client version from update server"

    So what to do ??

You can either manually delete the files it couldn't automatically delete as indicated by the error message in the first post, or you can just download the setup from the downloads page and install using the setup.

Download is a bad idea. Now i've lost all my settings & servers! I cant even get back on my own server as an admin.
I thought you were referring to downloading the update not a whole new install.

I have a recent backup of my identity. How do i fix this?

If you installed with the same settings and didn't uninstall the previous installation you'd still have all your settings in place.
Just run the setup again (without uninstalling) and make sure to select the same storage location (User own files or Installation folder) as in the original location, default and recommended is User own Files

1 you should have backed up (copied and saved to another safe location ie a flash drive) the TS3Client folder in c:\Users\[username]\AppData\Roaming
This way if things go South with a TS3 update or worse yet a reformat, you can copy this folder to its original location once you have re-installed TS3

Another Issue with V 3.1.10 is - it does not seem to read any joysticks or controllers connected to your PC and it will therefore not allow you to set a PTT button from any controller.

    Hello,

I had the same issue and i solved it by manually uninstall TS and install the last version.
