Seems like my Server has been overtaken

    Hello,

I had a guest on my TS-Server. We talked some minutes, everything was okay, but then he said "lol I hacked your server haha" and I was not the Admin anymore. Nobody who was admin before was admin any more but he was. Nobody gave him the rights.

May somebody explain what should I do now?

    Thanks a lot!

If you are the owner and your server is not too large, the best is start from scratch.
Close the server, go to the installation folder, delete the file ts3server.sqlitedb, run the server again, and this time try to read and understand how permissions works.

If nobody gave it to him, he had them before. Otherwise someone gave it to him, probably he gave himself the permission if you screwed up when doing the permission setup.

Did someone help you set up your permissions? It is possible someone could leave a backdoor in your permissions for later use. Never give anyone top level admin unless you have total trust in them.

Please do not use the word hacked, when your permissions allowed to get users Server Admin.
Someone on your server screwed up permissions and this allowed to assign groups.
Or maybe the Query Password is to weak.

Please log in into the server query and perform a permreset on that virtual server to restore all groups and to reset all permissions on that server.

    TEAMSPEAK SERVER Hijacking.

Hi all, I'm hosting a teamspeak server with a certain company, which has responded to me already with no fix at all.

Recently, players/people from this group called removed came onto our teamspeak (with owner ranks) and started moving all our teamspeak users into a room poke-spamming them to join their mumble server (spam-poked the IP)

This is a screenshot of the server this morning after being hijacked.
    removed

They even renamed my server removed and the public lobby and such, they have also locked all the rooms as you can see.

    Please look into this

    Thank you.

    As we repeat:
Make sure you are using the latest server version which is 3.0.12.3 at ths moment.
Make sure your permissions do not allow to assign important groups to yourself.
Make sure your query password for the serveradmin login isn't weak or the same you use anywhere else.

Doesn't look like a hack. And your description shows nothing useful for us.
We can't ban anyone, because it's not our server.

    Please update your server.
Then change your password for serveradmin and then perform the command permreset to set permissions to default values.
