Windows 8 - 64 bit - I have problems with audio and video lag while gaming

When I run teamspeak 3 while gaming I experience lag where my audio and video cuts out and my mouse won't respond. Are there any fixes for this issue? Is it just because teamspeak isn't supported by Windows 8 at this point? I have an on-board audio card. Asus Maximus V Formula. EVGA GTX 680 graphics card.

As long as teamspeak isn't running I don't experience the same lag.

    thank you

Try and disable exclusive control for your sound devices in the windows settings and make sure your audio and video drivers are up 2 date.
