Hello, I really don't understand why this option was apparently disabled. I am trying to disable the horrifically annoying beep that constantly happens when I am pressing my PTT key while the mic is muted in teamspeak.
Every other setting has a checkbox to turn the sound off, but not the "special" section:
Quite frankly, this is completely unacceptable. I use multiple chat clients and sometimes share the PTT key between them. Consequently I mute teamspeak when I am speaking in another client. TS has decided this action is worthy of blowing my ears out with one of the most grating beeps that I have ever heard. And worse, it repeats every few seconds. YES I KNOW MY MIC IS MUTED.
Please fix this immediately.

Go to C:\Program Files\TeamSpeak 3 Client\sound\default and delete stop_talking.
Thatīs it![]()
That's no good solution.
The file will be back on every update and not everyone has installed the client in this path.
Solution is:
1. Open Tools Options -> Application first.
2. Then uncheck 'Warn when talking while mic muted'
3. Press the OK button.

I looked in 'options->notifications->special->talking while muted, but it doesn't have a check box. I go as far as 'sounds deactivated' sound pack too... but the only actions with checkboxes are outside of the 'special' list.
Any ideas? All solutions don't seem to match up with my teamspeak.

I have the same issue as you where there isn't a check box for any of the "special" notifications including 'talking while muted' and I think I solved it. If you double click on the sound script (the part that says 'play("stoptalking.wav")' or whatever, it should highlight the text and then you can just hit backspace and delete it. After doing that I hit apply and stopped getting the beep! Let me know if that works for you too.
