    Reset or Redo a group

Long story short another admin was screwing with permissions and did something that doesn't allow the server to be queried from gametracker or tsviewer. The tutorials for fixing the permissions on either site doesn't solve the issue. From what I've been told by a gametracker admin

I am able to initiate a telnet session with this TS3 server, but once I am in, your server provides no response for use port or any of the other commands.
Basically I'm wondering if there is a way to reintroduce or reset the guest usergroup, or even to just start over and leave all the admins?

Thanks for the help in advance

This reset can be done with our group presets.

Please use one of the following commands in the ServerQuery
(Please replace the "xxxxxxxxxx" with your target channel or server group)

    Code:
    channelgroupcopy scgid=4 tcgid=xxxxxxxxxx name=Guest type=1
    --------OR--------
    Code:
    servergroupcopy ssgid=3 tsgid=xxxxxxxxxx name=Server\sAdmin type=1
-----2. Are you connected to the query?
Make sure ,that you really have access

I can connect via putty, but it seems as though nothing is returning when I hit enter?

With the above commands, am I entering these in through the ts3 server query? Sorry I'm completely new to this.

for example I should be able to type

    serverlist

    and it should return something?

    Reset a permissions group

I was messing around trying to disable pokes and messed up some guest permissions. Is there an easy way to just reset them to default? When searching I saw some commands to type but I have no idea where.

I am renting a server and I don't know how much access to things I have.

Totally new to TS3/servers so sorry for any trouble.

Ask your hoster, to redo the group, when you do not have access to the ServerQuery.

Or start a local server and compare the permissions. Like this.

Your explanation is not really helpfull without details.

If you messed up the permissions, then you need to fix them by using this command in the ServerQuery.
    Code:
    servergroupcopy ssgid=3 tsgid=X name=Server\sAdmin type=1
X stands for the current group ID and must be replaced. 0 Would create a new group from that copy.

Why did these threads get merged? The first three posts are about a server bug that has been fixed in 3.0.11.

Becasue not reacting to query commands and "insufficient permission modify power" are different problems.
