    Question Identitys and Moving around...

I need some help with our TS server...We have some of our members that will use more than one computer from different IP addresses. Like their home. at school and maybe at work. They have a different identity for each one and we have to ressign them new permissions for those computers. Is there a way where they can use just one identity and it stays with them when they go to a new computer...like the way TS use to work. Your Name and password were with you no matter where you were and you used it to login to the server with all your permissions intact?

    Thanks,
    Starr

The key is the identity, not the username.

Then, once you have your user configured... all this configuration in the server is related to an identity, the identity you have selected in the bookmark to connect to the server.

Then, once you have the user configured in a TS3 client (this is for a PC client):
Settings --> Identities --> Select the identity you have in use in the server --> Export
Note: If identity name is "default" or any other generic or automatic name, better you change the "Identity:" field, writing a relevant identificator, for example: UIDStarBoyzGuest --> OK --> Then try again to connect to the server and if it works as usual then back here to proceed with the export process.

This will export the identity to an .ini file --> Copy this file to an usb pen, for example.
    In other PC,
Settings --> Identities --> Import --> Select the file with the identity to be imported...
Once you have imported the identity you have to select it in the bookmarks
Bookmarks --> Manage Bookmarks --> "More button" --> Select the server --> Assing the correct identity ( in this case, UIDStarBoyzGuest)

You can have an identity as Guest and other as Admin... then you can export / import them to use them in different computers.

Be sure the files used for export/import are deleted or well saved, because this files are the key.
