    .NET Query Listener

    Hey Community,

I would like to create a bot which listen to an event. If anyone assigns a channelgroup to anyone, the server should check it. I need the servergroup ID of the user who assigned the group and the ID of the user. The server checks this data. If it is "wrong" the server should prevent (or revoke) the channel group. After that, the server should kick the user who tried that.

YES, I can do this with permissions but I want to do it with a bot. It is like a tutorial for other pruposes.

AND: I am using C# so .NET. The application runs on windows and on linux (with mono).

There is no listening event for this. You must poll.

Do you have a specific reason for making your own bot? There is a java based bot called JTS3_ServerMod or something similar that has this function built in already (you set a server group as protected, and list clients allowed in the group, anyone not in the list will be removed in about 1 second) among lots of other stuff...

Yes, I know JTS3 Bot. Really great bot, but I don't need these functions.
I want to "block" that the Servergroup 10 can not assign any channelgroups. Yes I can do this with permissions, but there are some good reasons why I have to do this with a bot.
Maybe I can read the log and "redo" this actio. But don't know how!

I admit I have nothing to add to help, but out of interest, what reason do you have for allowing all users in a group to assign groups, and then punish them for it? Why not just assign the permissions so members of that group can't set groups?

(Yes, I know you've said you know you can do this, but don't want to, I'm simply curious as to why you want it to behave as such)
