My english isn't very well. I Hope you can understand it. But i didn't find a german forum for Teamspeak which is well.

Okay i try to explain my problem. I tried to start my Teamspeakserver on my Vhost. i start it with command:

./ts3server_startscript.sh start

The server create a User "admin" and a password for him.
But he doesn`t create teh admin token.

Here is the Log File:

Hi. Carpathiahost guys tried to update our server to 3.0.10 and failed. Here is the error message they received:
We have updated it but it fails to run. We see in the error log the following:

Hello,

I know this is a very common error, and there are many threads about it. However, after searching 2 hours, and trying some solutions :

It still doesn't work. I also :
- Did a yum update (I'm working on a centOS)
- Tried to follow this tutorial & this tutorial
- Checked permissions on my ts3 folder. The whole directory, and every files are ok, and there is nothing weird like a file owned by root (http://puu.sh/5h8W5.png). Same thing on all subdirectories.
- Tried to download multiples times the archive (In case of corrupted files)
- Tried to install without .ini files


After that, i still didn't succeeded, and i feel really bad about it... I already have a TS3 on another server (Running on ubuntu server though), and didn't have this problem.
I don't have this problem if i run the server using root user, but that's not good for the security... Is there something related to permissions i could have missed ?

Without the logs of your server I - and everyone else - can only guess which error you have.
So my guess... shared memory issue...

I want to host the server myself because i already host 2 websites on my VPS, and my monitoring shows it can easily handle it. In fact, i'm moving my current server because i want to save money (It's currently on another server, and it will allow me to cancel it).

Shared memory issue... I don't know. In fact i'm really surprised it works with root user, and not with another user. For me it was something about permissions/files owner, but i didn't find anything wrong.
If you want logs, just tell me which one you need.

That sounds very much like a shared memory and files permission permission issue. Or said in short... the user you created to run the teamspeak server is not allowed to use the systems shared memory. The shared memory is needed as long as there is no valid license to run the local accounting. It's the way teamspeak checks if other server instances are running on the local system.

So do a quick check of the permissions of the shared memory.
