Exclamation Missing rank/channels icons after backup

    Hello there,

I just restored a backup of my teamspeak server (Moved it to a new dedicated server) and I restored the old
    ts3server.sqlitedb and other folders.

The problem is that I can't see any icons anymore...

Also, Using Yatqa when I go in the "icons" section I can see a list, but there are no icons.

Here's the FTP, the icon files ARE actually inside the icons folder..

Might a problem with file system permissions, e.g. by extracting or uploading the icons not as the user that runs the TS server. However, this would most likely have broken the database, too. It would be nice to know if file transfers of existing(!) files are working.
To fix this, try setting the chmod of all files in the TS3 directory to 777 in your FTP program. If that doesn't fix it, let us know. Pretty strange error by YaTQA, though.

    Thanks for your answer numma_cway,
I tried to set the chmod of the whole folder to 777 (recursive) and I restarted the server... the icons are still missing,
Also, I noticed that on my friend's teamspeak, when I go on his ftp and when I download an icon, I can add .png and I can see it, but I cannot do the same for my icons, if I add .png to one of them, they're not readable... here's a sample http://sakarias-longhorn.net/TS3Icons/, When I backed up the server ,I downloaded everything, installed teamspeak on the new machine and reuploaded the files/sqlDB, so.. I don't know what went wrong, I'd like to find a way to fix it because I don't have the "original" icons anymore on my computer.

The files have been converted from Windows Text File Format to Linux Text File Format. This makes no sense, because they are binary files and not text files.

The PNG format has – for a reason I do not know – been designed to detect if it has been treated as a Windows Text File and been converted to a Linux Text File. This is done by the 5th and 6th byte. Converting the file to Linux drops the 5th Byte. If you have a hex editor, simply insert a 0x0d in there and it will fix approximately (65535/65536)^Size of the files. I was able to fix all files by doing this, although the chance was only (65535/65536)^(71649)≈33.5%.

For the future, set your archiver to binary mode.
