Can I restore my Server from my backup?

I have my license on that backup, plus I have many categories set and icons etc.

Am I able to restore it to my new server?

Well, if you made a backup that contains all channel data and the icons, then yes, it is possible to restore that onto a new server. That's the purpose of a backup, I suppose.

To only restore the channels and permissions, it is sufficient to simply restore a snapshot. But to restore channels, permissions AS WELL AS the icons, avatars and uploaded channel files, it is necessary to transfer the sqlite or mysql database to the new server and use that on the new server, and you have to transfer the files/ directory structure to he new server as well.

If you restore a snapshot, all objects from the snaphot get new id numbers in the new database, so the connection to the files in the file system gets lost, since the files have the id numbers in the directory structure.

If you restore the database without the file transfer folder, file transfer will no longer work. So don't do that. So use either full backups or snapshots.

How do I restore it with the mySQL?

Do I just move all the stuff back into there?
