Cant connect to my friends server

I cant connect my friends server, but all my other friends can so the problem must be in my teamspeak.

I can only connect to public servers.

Everytime i try to connect to my friends server it tells

Trying to connect to server on 11111111
    Failed to connect to server

Anyone know what is the problem?

if you do, then please help me

Is 11111111 the actual address you are using?

If it where one octet would be missing... 11111111 translates to 00.A9.8A.C7 (0.169.238.199). This isn't a useable IP because the network 0.0.0.0/8 is reserved by IANA for special purpose. So no, you won't reach any server there.

For further info see RFC 6890 and RFC 1122.

No that 11111111 was just example.
    Real one is 217.140.179.208

That should be proper ip address i presume?

Yes, this would be a proper IP. But to me, it seems that there is a) no teamspeak server running and b) the IP is not pingable. Did your friend gave you an port number along with that IP?
