Bluetooth headset stops receiving sound when opening TeamSpeak 3?

Hi, I got a new Bluetooth Headset (Philips SHB7000), works perfectly with all other applications, however when I just open TeamSpeak and connect into a server channel, the headset stops giving out sound COMPLETELY, to all other applications aswell. The microphone works fine, I've tried troubleshooting and searching the net for answers but I've not seen anything along the lines of this.
    Could anyone help me?

I am having the same problem with an older Bluetooth headphone that worked until this morning. I found that if I change the capture device to anything but my headphones I then get all sound back but of course, my microphone doesn't work. Tried all possible combinations on capture mode settings, but as soon as I select the Bluetooth capture device in TS (when connected to a server) I loose all sound. R&R Bluetooth drivers and TS3 client, same result.

    Windows 7 64bit, TS3, Broadcom bluetooth

Yeah, id imagine its just something to do with Bluetooth compatability and TeamSpeak,I played around with the Bluetooth drivers and I finally got it to work, however the mic is still broken and I have to use a freestanding microphone. If anyone finds a solution to this please reply, thanks.

Test options with "Allow applications to take exclusive control of this device." on both your playback and recording devices?

I've known one individual with a Bluetooth headset and he gave up on it, Bluetooth just seems too unreliable and intermittent.

Mine is working now but it still isn't right. After uninstalling everything involved and re-installing at least twice, I found TS client had two copies of my Bluetooth headphones (two identical devices) except one was marked out with a red line and said inactive at the end. Here is the weird part, after playing with settings some more I found if I set my playback to the correct device, and set capture to the "inactive" device, everything works. Been over a day now, have restarted TS, shut down headset to recharge, and rebooted a couple of times each and it still works.

I hope you have the same kind of dumb luck and get yours to work.

Hello after 1 year nobody from Teamspeak stuff has answered us.

I've the same problem with my bluethooth headset Creative Sound Blaster EVO Zx, all sounds work fine, but when I open teamspeak program all windows sounds go off, and the quality of teamspeak "mic & audio" become very low quality.

I've tried what the people did , by searching all around the world, but nothing.

Is there an angel that can help me ?

I'm using the SHB7000 also and although you may have found the answer, I opened TS3 and all PC audio went horrible. I then went into my recording devices in Windows and the sound went terrible then too. I tried disabling the microphone from the headset and the audio was its normal great quality. Opened up TS3 and the audio was still really good. So try disabling the mic in the Windows settings.

Lost sound when connecting to a Teamspeak server

Is there a solution to this issue other than "playing around with the Bluetooth settings?"

I've tried all of the troubleshooting I can find on the web, I still keep losing ALL sound when I connect to a server in TS. If I quit TS, the sound returns. I can play the test sound without issue, it's just when I connect to a server.

I get this behavior in game, and out of game (it happens with youtube). ANy ideas

    Solution:

Bluetooth does not support high quality audio in combination with a microphone.
for stereo audio playback there is used the A2DP bluetooth-protocoll and the so called ,,Stereo-Profile"

if you are starting to use the mic, the protocoll will chance to HSP ,,Handsfree-Profile". This is why the quality drops down. you can not use one bluetooth headset for receiving high quality audio and speaking.

i know its a shame after all the high tech stuff there is no possibility to get high quality mic and stereo sound with 1 bluetooth device....

teamspeak automatically uses a handsfree device. you have to change this in settings. for best results use a speaker or good headphones for sound and a external mic for speaking.

    any questions?

    greets

That's really good, thanks for pointing that out.
So If I want I could use the bluetooth headset under Stereo-profile and an external mic? Or once you have a connected bluetooth headset you have to use the handsfree profile always independently of the mic external or internal to the headset?
Also I'm using a Realtek Hd audio included in my Asus m5a97 evo R2.0 mobo and I managed to put both audio and mic to the headset (bose soundlink) only after eliminating all the other sources in "Audio" tab in Windows 10. The results are that you can hear and talk while using teamspeak and gaming but the sounds of the game application are quite bad while the teamspeak ones are ok.

    this might help

hello guys, so i had the exact same problem and for myself i found a solution.

so in the winds sound tab (rightclick on sound symbol, then "sounds") where you can choose the playback and recording devices, in the playback part i had my bluetooth headphones connected twice for some reason. my headphone is the sony wh-1000xm3.
so in the playback window it was listed twice, once as: "WH-1000XM3 Stereo" and once as "WH-1000XM3 Hands-Free".

the difference is basically the "hands-free" one is low quality restricted (possibly due to different bluetooth connection qualities being used but im not sure) and the "stereo" one is high quality.
it seems that ts3 had issues with both of them being active (even though i only used one of them as standard)

once i deactivated the low quality "WH-1000XM3 Hands-Free" version of the device teamspeak worked fine.
(it might be worth noting that i also deactivated the mic of the headphones in the recording part of the sound tab)

    hope this might help.

i tried fussing around in ts3 client too but i never seemed to find any solution there, this is the only thing that worked for me. hope this might help.

All these Bluetppth Headsets problems are because Bluetooth A2DP is not bidirektional. So it cant send and recieve audio simultaneously.
Teamspeak will use the microphone of the headset so its changing to a lower bluetooth profile to transfer audio bidirektional.
