    Manual Voice Gain Control?

Is there any way to disable Automatic Voice Gain Control and somehow (through config files or in sqlite?) set manually max voice gain?

It's a pitty that there are only very few options for voice activation/gain control for advanced users.

For disabling the Automatic Voice Gain:
Settings --> Options --> Capture --> Activate "Advanced options" and deactivate "Automatic Voice Gain Control"

The setting for voice gain is due with the windows mixer.

If you are using Skype, be sure that
in Skype Tools --> Options --> Sound
    you have to Uncheck
    "Automatically adjust microphone settings"
