    Audio mutes.

We are using one channel as a background channel with playing music or nature sounds to relax on it. Since 3.1.6 this channel mutes at silent parts of a song or a nature sound. This is irritating and it sounds not very good.

iOs is 7.0.3. Devices are iphone 5, ipod 4 and an ipad 4.

Couldn't be the "activation level" in the client that supplies the music?

No. Its only the listening client on the iDevice that mutes incomming audio and speech. Only with version 3.1.6. With speech the effect is not so noticeable.
