    After updating TS3 on Linux Server

    So, TS3 server is working fine, but last couple of days, I get a note on my client stating that an update is available.

    COOL! I like to stay up to date, and updating has been very easy. stop server, unpack files into directory, restart the server, and everything is just fine.. until today.

    I stopped the server - unpacked files into folder started server, went to my client, and was unable to connect.

    Went to log files and found;

    Note the last line.

    Checked out FAQ, and other forum posts, but was unable to find anyone else with this particular problem.
    Any help would be useful, beyond fully removing and starting from scratch, which isnt rocket science, just hope it doesnt come to that...

    Oh yes.. silly network admin,, I back up things for everyone else, but neglected to back up my ts3 folder this time

    ---NEW INFORMATION---

    Thankfully I had the older 3.0.7.2 still on my desktop, so I was able to revert it back by extracting the files to my working directory so at least I can run my server - even old version - for this weekend Elder Scrolls Online Beta Weekend -- woohoo!!!

    Welcome to the forum!

    Just to make certain, is that the entire content of the log? The last line there isn't an issue, but there should be more after it though. If there isn't that's definitely concerning; normally after that you would see something along the lines of this:

    The "Unable to find valid license key, falling back to limited functionality" just means that your server did not find a valid licensekey.dat in the root directory of the TeamSpeak server (or was unable to access it). If you do not have a license (such as NPL, AAL, ATHP etc.) then this is just a normal log entry. If you do have such a license, make sure your server can both read and write to the licensekey.dat file.
    Whether you are running 3.0.7.2 or a later version does not make any difference what so ever with that warning in your log.
    Please include the full log file of both the server instance (ends in _0.log) and the virtual server in question (ends in _SERVER-ID.log).
