    Can't connect to server

    Hi

    I've been using TS3 successfully for a long time until yesterday. I use it mainly for gameplay. Yesterday I got disconnected from my server sosts.teamspeak3.com and haven't been able to reconnect back to it since then.

    It happened suddenly without any warnings or error messages. I have not changed anything on TS configuration, or on my computer. Everything is exactly as it was when I played and used it before.

    Other people are able to connect to the server and use it just fine and I am bale to connect to other servers and use TS3 just as well.

    Since then, I have done the following in trying to fix the problem :

    1. Followed all the instructions posted in http://forum.teamspeak.com/showthrea...-amp-Solutions made no difference, still unable to connect to the server.

    2. Uninstalled TS3 including configuration files and did a clean sweep of registry for any left overs. Then hard booted my computer.

    3. Downloaded and installed fresh and clean TS3 3.0.13.1 Win 7 64 bit client (since that is my OS) no difference, still can't connect to sosts.teamspeak3.com while I can connect to every other server and others can connect to it and use it without problems.

    4. tried to connect with and without port address, TS3 used to work before just by me connecting to sosts.teamspeak3.com so I tried that also sosts.teamspeak3.com:3599 with the port, same thing, no difference.

    5. Did a trace route to the server, opened up the command prompt and did "tracert sosts.teamspeak3.com" , no problems, got 26ms and around there throughout the route.

    6. Shut down, waited about 10 minutes and rebooted my router. No difference.

    I have ran check disk, made sure TS3 is a trusted application, checked the firewall and flood protection settings, all that numerous times. Nothing works.

    All I get is:
    Trying to resolve hostname sosts.teamspeak3.com
    Trying to connect to server on sosts.teamspeak3.com
    Failed to connect to to server

    Trying to resolve hostname sosts.teamspeak3.com:3599
    Trying to connect to server on sosts.teamspeak3.com:3599
    Failed to connect to server

    Tried it about a 100 times by now.


    What else can I do ? Is there some sort of a log somewhere that I can take look at and trouble shoot this ? how do I fix this ?

    Update:

    Uninstalled Teamspeak again, and reinstalled, but this time from an old version I have on my backup drive, version installed was Win-64 3.0.2

    Upon starting TS3 I was prompted to update, did so, to the latest current version 3.0.13.1

    I connected to the teamspeak public test server and talked tested it there, as well as 2 other servers where I talked to people and it was working fine, however still can't connect to sosts.teamspeak3.com which is what I need to connect to.

    But this time, instead of a "Failed to connect" message, I am getting a message that says "Failed to resolve host name 'sosts.teamspeak3.com'" I have confirmed that the server is currently up and running and is being used and I obviously do not have any problems connecting TS3 to any other server and talking to people, just this one.

    Not sure if this makes any difference, still need solution to this problem.

    Update 2:

    Changed DNS from google DNS to one provided by my ISP, flushed DNS cache, rebooted both comp and router, back to the original problem, host is resolved but still "Failed to connect to server" so back to the original problem.

    I tried connecting to the server you're having a problem with I and am also unable to connect. I'm having the same problem as you with another server, too. I was disconnected yesterday then I couldn't reconnect to my clan's server.

    This just happened to me last night. TS 3 was working then NOT simple as that. Re installed, retyped info several times and nothing.
    I'm looking forward to an answer that will help me solve this.

    I tried conencting by typing in the ip adress 72.8.156.244:3599 as you can see in the client log. Tried both with and without the port number included, still can't connect, same message in red Failed to connect to server

    Please let me know if there is any other info I can provide to help solve this issue and I will do so. I will check the post at regular intervals for any updates / additional info.

    Sorry but I have no more ideas. You already have checked the IP without port. In my case, there there is a server that asks me for password.

    If you use the search function in the forum, indicating "light-speed" (without ""), you'll see that there is a lot of threads with similar issue. The servers are different but "light-speed.com" is present in all of them.

    Status Update Jan.17th 2014

    As of this time I can connect back to the server again, perhaps the problem was on the side of the host. The problem does not occur for me any more, but the cause is still unknown, perhaps some of the other users experiencing this issue could post here if they are able to connect again to servers hosted on "light-speed", so this would shed some light on the situation.

    I will not post to this thread again unless it happens again or I come across some relevant information on the issue.

    Hi, same problem here. We are using a SRV host. Posted it on Teamspeak IRC channel without luck. Tryed all your steps, as well a sniffer.
