Question TS, Debian 7.4, Can't connect using hostname, CAN connect with ip

Trying to migrate my Minecraft and TS to linux for a smaller footprint, after much aggravation got both running, I can connect to my ts using the ip address without issue, however when I use my dynamic dns it will NOT connect.
    Code:
2/13/2014 4:07:56 PM	ClientUI	Info	Connect to server: *.linkpc.net (ommited)
2/13/2014 4:07:56 PM	ClientUI	Info	Trying to resolve *.linkpc.net
2/13/2014 4:07:56 PM	TSDNS	Info	SRV DNS resolve unsuccessful for "_ts3._udp.*.linkpc.net"
2/13/2014 4:07:56 PM	TSDNS	Info	No SRV TSDNS found at "_tsdns._tcp.*.linkpc.net"
2/13/2014 4:07:56 PM	TSDNS	Info	DNS resolve successful, "*.linkpc.net"=The.Correct.Ip.Address
2/13/2014 4:07:59 PM	TSDNS	Warning getaddrinfo error: This is usually a temporary error during hostname resolution and means that the local server did not receive a response from an authoritative server.
    2/13/2014 4:07:59 PM	ClientUI	Info	Lookup finished: The.Correct.Ip.Address 9987 *.linkpc.net 0 0
2/13/2014 4:07:59 PM	ClientUI	Info	Resolve successful: The.Correct.Ip.Address:9987
2/13/2014 4:07:59 PM	ClientUI	Info	Blacklist check ok
    2/13/2014 4:07:59 PM	ClientUI	Info	Initiating connection: The.Correct.Ip.Address:9987 The.Correct.Ip.Address
2/13/2014 4:07:59 PM	ClientUI	Info	Connect status: Connecting
2/13/2014 4:08:04 PM	ClientUI	Info	Connect status: Disconnected
Connects with no errors while using the same exact ip address listed in the log above, is there a hostname setting I should have set somewhere that its not listening on?

    Hi laser411,

by looking at your log entry, I found the following error:

    Code:
It seems that there is a problem resolving your IP to the specified hostname. That would explain why you can only use your IP address to connect to your server.

Have a look at the TSDNS config again and check if everything is setup/configured correctly.

what do you mean? looks like it resolved correctly with:
2/13/2014 4:07:56 PM TSDNS Info DNS resolve successful, "*.linkpc.net"=The.Correct.Ip.Address
I verified that the IP that ts is resolving my DNS to is the correct one?
and for some background to this as well, I recently migrated from windows to linux, im running mineos crux 0.60 now, I'm using it to host my minecraft and ts. Before I had no problem connecting to either, now I can't connect to either server (minecraft or teamspeak)
I can ping my url and it responds appropriately and whois shows the appropriate IP, But it's definitely something involving that hostname, but now I'm convinced its an OS issue or setting and not teamspeak specifically
