    Need help with permissions.

I need some help with permissions, I was wondering how exactly I stop other admins in a different rank from me being able to edit permissions themselves, mainly I don't want them to see IP addresses on the Client Connection Info tab or editing their permission to do so.

If someone wouldn't mind helping me I would really appreciate it.

    Thanks!

Activate the advanced permission system. [Step 1 -> Step 2]
Open the permission system and select the group you don't want to be able to modify permissions and stuff.

    Find and delete permissions like:

    i_group_modify_power
    i_permission_modify_power
    b_client_remoteaddress_view

    and maybe:

    i_group_member_add_power
    i_group_member_remove_power

    Best regards

Okay that's helped a lot, managed to stop them from editing permissions now. Just want to know one thing. How do I stop them from promoting them to my rank? they can still manage to obtain the ' owner ' rank which is one above admin.

So I basically want them to be able to give every rank apart from Owner.

The rank the person has, edit that with less member add power and make sure every rank you want them to assign has at most that level of required member add power. That way they can add and remove everything except your rank. I make it on my server so that a section's top level admin can assign anything, even another top level admin, however all other ranks can only assign or revoke at most any rank under theirs. It prevents people of equal rank messing with each other etc.

Simply set the your permissions like this:

    Owner:
    i_group_member_add_power set to 75
    i_group_member_remove_power set to 75

    Admin:
    i_group_member_add_power set to 50
    i_group_member_remove_power set to 75

    Member:
    i_group_member_add_power set to 0
    i_group_member_remove_power set to 50

    Owner can assign all groups.
Only Owner can assign the Owner group.

    Admins can only assign Member.
Only Owner can assign the Admin group.

    Member can't assign any group.
Owner and Admin can assign the Member group.

Every time a User tries to assign a group, the value of the permission "i_group_member_add_power" of his group is compared with the value of the permission "i_group_needed_member_add_power" of the group he is trying to assign.

Because the "i_group_needed_member_add_power" of Admin is higher then the "i_group_member_add_power", an Admin can't assign Users to this group. Same with the "i_group_needed_member_add_power" of the Owner group. [50 < 75]

    Contact me for further questions.

    Best regards
    Marc
