    Question Server reporting to the server list LINUX

    I know this has been asked a million times:
    http://forum.teamspeak.com/showthrea...ak-Server-List
    http://forum.teamspeak.com/showthrea...he-server-list
    http://forum.teamspeak.com/showthrea...on-Server-List
    http://forum.teamspeak.com/showthrea...n-Server-List!
    http://forum.teamspeak.com/showthrea...n-the-web-list

    But neither of those posts helped me, I still cannot find my linux server in the server list, and i have everything configured.
    The weird thing is that the server shown on the server list if i'm running the server on windows!

    So I have enabled reporting to the server list in the server settings;
    I have all the ports ok, in fact the same forwarding for windows works but for linux it does not show in the list;
    I know how to use filters in the server list*.

    So what i want to know is if there is any difference from the server broadcasting in linux to windows. Do i need to configure something more?

    Note that:
    I'm running TeamSpeak Server x86 3.0.10.3on LINUX UBUNTU,
    The server is working 100% (if you know the ip)
    Im not trying to run 2 servers at the same time!

    There (I think) lies your problem, if your server can't connect to that address you'll never get on the weblist

    You have some issue with your domain names resolution, assuming your server is in fact connected to the internet.

    Cool

    @Air SeaTac, @ANR Daemon
    Thanks you guys!
    Yes it was the DNS settings!

    For further reference here its what you need to do to fix the dns settings (can't ping anything):

    1 Login to your server as root;
    Type:
    Code:
    sudo vi /etc/network/interfaces
    2 With the vi editor insert this line:
    Code:
    name server xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx
    (Or if it already exists change the IP of the DNS)
    Choose an ip at your preference, i used google's ip 8.8.8.8

    3 Save and exit the config (Esc and then :wq)

    4 Now restart the networking components:
    Code:
    sudo /etc/init.d/networking restart
    Hope this helped

    Note: This is for ubuntu server, i don't know if this is going to work with other versions of linux, but probably will.

    The above might work for your linux ... in case of my server the setting are made in /etc/resolv.conf
    In my mind it would be better to just say: "Check your local DNS resolver setting and correct if incomplete"

    It is
    dns-nameservers
    assuming you have resolvconf package installed
    And please use your provider's DNS servers.
