    License Issue with an NPL

I'm hoping the TS team will read this, I am having an issue with my NPL License file in that when I put into the directory and restart the server, it doesn't allow anyone to connect.

at first I thought this was a technical issue, but I think maybe the license expired (I didn't know they expire.)

I applied for this license a while ago, 2010/11?, and bout a year ago, I stopped hosting a TS, but I am needing to get back into it again.

Would I need to reapply for a new license or can someone just extend the current license??

I see that NPL registration is closed (but that should be for just NEW registrations), but since I am an EXISTING NPL license holder, Can I still get a new license if necessary.

As far as I know an expired license can not be renewed (or the company does not want to). You will be treated as a new customer and have to request a new license.

Once you have a valid NPL, it renews automatically as long as the server is up and running the week prior to expiration date. NPL expire every 6 month.

You are not an "existing" NPL license holder, you are a previous NPL license holder due to the fact it expired. And yes, you have to catch the NPL registration while it is open and start over, "from the back of the line" so to say. Be aware, the process is much stricter to get one these days, review the requirement first and make sure you have everything in place before applying or you may be frustrated by the rejections.

You'll see the license status (expired or not, if present) in the server log, in the *_0.log file:
