Can't connect to a friends server.

This is what I find in the logs. I have no idea how this could help resolve my issue. I've tried looking up the error and nothing seems to help. Hoping someone else can now.

Uff... something strange with this SRV DNS definition.

In short, try to connect to perlite.typefrag.com:5810 or to 54.186.45.84:5810

Nothing strange about it... it's just a regular old SRV entry.
SRV -> CNAME -> IP, nothing special about it. Resolves fine in 108ms.
    Code:
3/7/2014 10:05 AM	ClientUI	Info	Connect to server: bastionofdudism.typefrag.com
3/7/2014 10:05 AM	ClientUI	Info	Trying to resolve bastionofdudism.typefrag.com
3/7/2014 10:05 AM	TSDNS	Info	No SRV TSDNS found at "_tsdns._tcp.bastionofdudism.typefrag.com"
3/7/2014 10:05 AM	TSDNS	Info	DNS resolve successful, "bastionofdudism.typefrag.com"=54.186.45.84
    3/7/2014 10:05 AM	TSDNS	Info	SRV DNS resolve successful, "_ts3._udp.bastionofdudism.typefrag.com"=>"bastionofdudism.typefrag.com:5810" = 54.186.45.84:5810
    3/7/2014 10:05 AM	ClientUI	Info	Lookup finished: 54.186.45.84 5810 bastionofdudism.typefrag.com 0 0
3/7/2014 10:05 AM	ClientUI	Info	Resolve successful: 54.186.45.84:5810
3/7/2014 10:05 AM	ClientUI	Info	Blacklist check ok
    3/7/2014 10:05 AM	ClientUI	Info	Initiating connection: 54.186.45.84:5810 bastionofdudism.typefrag.com
    Server is passworded though.

Which according to RFC 2782 is not allowed... a SRV must point to an A or AAAA record, it must not point to a CNAME or an IP adress. So I must assume that some DNS resolver on the users connection is working correct by the standard and therefor does not resolve the illegal SRV record.

not required, to return the address record(s) in the Additional

A Target of "." means that the service is decidedly not
    available at this domain.
