I second the motion. There was no comprehensible answer given even though this particular question has been raised multiple times on the patch notes thread.
Why and when can we expect this option to return?

Please, return this highly useful option to hide teamspeak taskbar button when the client is not minimized.
Many of us keep the client active and window visible in the background but do not want the taskbar button clutter. Especially since multiple monitor screens are more common nowadays.
For example, I always keep teamspeak client active and visible in the corner of my secondary screen to keep tabs on general server population, chat activity and other stuff, but I don't want the taskbar button for teamspeak cluttering up the taskbar on my primary monitor. Alt+tab and systray icons are more than enough to find the client. There should always be more options than less, in my opinion.
Backing that.
Made an account just to post here. Please bring it back!
Please, Please, Please bring it back! I miss it so much! Like Alkonite I only mad an account to tell you that.
Please bring it back
Why was it removed anyway?
No problem here, using 3.0.11 still.
I do not know why they would remove it on purpose. I do not recall ever using it myself but I am always for bringing something back that people want to use. Having options available is a good thing.
Yeah, this is pretty essential for me. I had to install an older version when I found out.
This would be an amazing option to have back. Heartily agree with OP.
There has been no official word about this? I find that strange. Usually they are quick to either acknowledge something or dismiss it, one way or the other.
Is there any chance to get an statement about it? The thread has been made 2 month ago and there is nothing from the official side ... It would be nice to get an official statement.
We have an official statement from 14.03.2014
