No, just a newer CPU with SSE2 support.

If the real error is (0xc000001d) then go to this thread:

We will no longer support CPU's without SSE2 support.

You need one of these CPU's as a minimum to run the client:
Intel Pentium4 or AMD Athlon 64 (or VIA C7)

Intel Pentium3 / Athlon XP or older CPU's will not work with the client or server.

Bad news for you: It seems your CPU doesn't support SSE2.
There is a thread with this issue, this link:
    http://forum.teamspeak.com/showthrea...c000001d)-quot
and the final solution is in post #36.

Anyone knows how to force older versions of teamspeak client to join newer version servers? or knows any other clients beside teamspeak client to connect to the teamspeak server?

I don't have the option to upgrade my CPU for a year or two and can't continue without TS >< post #36 is not working for me, any other soloutions?

Edit: or can the TS dev team make a hotfix/another version that supports older CPUs? the client wasn't that bid of a deal to require CPU upgrade, the last version I had was barely using 1~2% of my CPU. can you continue supporting old CPUs again please.
