    Lua sockets alternative?

So I'm working on a simple script in Lua that takes a youtube link and messages back the title of the video. In my Lua interpreter it works fine, but not when loaded in ts3. I make use of lua sockets and it doesn't seem to work.

I'm curious if there is an alternative way to get a webpage's source code without the use of lua sockets. Or is it possible to make lua sockets work?

Because of the way the Lua plugin was made, it's not possible to load modules afterwards. So you're pretty much limited to client interaction... which (imho) is enough for the Lua community. The only thing you can do is calling other applications like cURL from inside your Lua code and grab the output... kida dirty but it works.

Have you considered using the C API to create this kind of plugin?
