    Question Failed to connect / Can't ping the server

    Hello,

    I hope you will understand me because I'm french and my english is what it is

    I'm on Windows 7 (with the french ISP : Free), and trying to connect to a TS server but I got this message :
    Code:
    <12:47:46> Trying to resolve hostname aphrodite.ts3-serveur.com
    <12:47:47> Trying to connect to server on aphrodite.ts3-serveur.com:20549
    <12:47:52> Failed to connect to server
    So, I tried to connect to the direct IP instead of the "aphrodite.ts3-serveur.com" but no way.
    I checked if there was spaces in the adress... I typed it correctly.

    However, when I open the server list of teamspeak, I can connect to many other servers !

    I tried to ping the IP with the "Windows cmd" but it can't reach the IP. I got this message (I translate in english, but in french it is "Défaillance générale") :

    General failure
    Then I tried to disable Windows firewall and Ad-Aware Antivirus. Same problem.

    I don't know what to do. Any idea please ? Hosts file ?

    Better include your client log: Tools --> Client log

    In my case, the final address for the server is
    ns210928.ovh.net:20549
    or
    188.165.210.8:20549

    On my Android phone I just tried to ping 188.165.210.8 and it works !
    So, I think the problem is between my PC and TS... but don't know how to search.

    Problem solved.
    I use Peerblock to protect my PC from intrusions. I just allow permanently the IP of the TS server and it's ok.
