Connected clients have same IP as server.

    Hi

I have a teamspeak 3 server running on one of my old laptop's which I don't use anymore. When I created my first teamspeak 3 server everything was running fine.

But now a few month ago, everybody on the server flag's stop working. The flag icon is still there, but it is the South African flag. The server is in South Africa.

No I have notice that everybody on the server have the same ip address, and the ip address is the server ip address. Now to me this is weird because we have clients from all over the world. And they are not sitting in my house so that they can be behind the router.

I am thinking that because of the ip address problem, this is why everybody on the server have the same flag, the South Africa flag, as the ip address in located in South Africa.

I would like to resolve this problem, but I do not know what to do. I will give the details about the server

    Server
    CPU: AMD Athlon 64
    RAM:1 GB
    OS:Windows Professional
OS State:Running in Safe Mode with Networking
Firewall:Allowing all out and incoming connection for Teamspeak. Windows Firewall

I've not tried this, but maybe if you are using your server as a router to connect your computers to your internet connection, this can be normal through Network Address Translation. Did you have tried to connect to your teamspeak server using your public IP instead of the local address? If you connect through it, you should be able to see the normal IPs and flags if this is the problem.

Thank you for your reply. I don't think it could be the problem as the server are connected to the DSL Modem downstairs in my house.

I have an LAN cable running from downstairs up into my bedroom, where my personal PC is and the server is. This LAN cable then get's split by a small D-Link Ethernet Switch. So the server is still connected to the router.

Because of my ISP I don't get a static IP address, so I use a DDNS service.

I will also give the ISP a call today about this. I will update here if I get any news from them

Hope that this new information is helpful.

    Greetings
    Grant

Connected clients have same IP as server.

Hii. I have just setup a TS3 server for windows at my home. Everything is working fine. Clients are able to connect to the server from outside the network using a dyn dns service. But when I checked the client connection info and the server log I noticed that all my clients are getting the local ip address of my local network.

    (e.g. 10/5/2014 7:52 PM VirtualServerBaseInfo client connected 'john (id:23) from 192.168.0.1:8596)

It seems that the server is unable to resolve my clients' wan ip addresses. May you please help me show some solutions. Thanks

This means you are incorrectly set up the gateway that redirect traffic to the TS server.

    HI Andruso101

    So i tested the Portforwarding.
    My settings are :

    Protocoll: UDP
    Port: 9887
    Internal Ip: 10.0.0.11
    Internal Port : 9887

and i can see the External Ip Adress of the User.

Yes i know there some ports missing but it was only an Test.

HI Anruso101 can you Please take an look to your Router an check how you do the Portforwarding ?

    You wrote :

    gateway: 192.168.0.1

So please try an Portforwarding at your Router like this. ( Save your Current Config !!! )

Port : 9887 ( If you have running an STandart Install )
    Protocoll : UDP

Target IP: 192.168.0.10 ( Your TS3 Internal IP Adress )
    Port : 9887

    and Test it Please.

    Regards Sargnagel

I Hope i could Help an little Bit.

    Regards Sargnagel.

I have the feeling that there are more routers models than people on the earth. So the chance that anyone has your router is nearly 0 and the chance that anyone on the forum has it is equal to 0.
