How to I extend the ban length?

Do I need to be the owner of the server or can I just be a server admin?

If I just need to be a server admin, how do I extend the ban time on the newest version of TS3?

The maximum amount of time you can ban for is governed by the permission i_client_ban_max_bantime. It specified the amount of seconds you can ban for or, if the value is set to -1, you can ban indefinitely (ie. permanently).

If you talk about editing existing bans, you need b_client_ban_list, b_client_ban_add and b_client_ban_delete (or b_client_ban_delete_own if you only want to edit your own bans). You'd then have to go to the Banlist, edit the entry you want to edit, change the duration and hit ok.

I'm talking about the maximum time I can ban for. I've looked at other threads and they all say it has something to do with i_client_ban_max_bantime, but I have no idea where to find that.

To find the permission by name, select the 'Advanced permission system':
Settings --> Options --> Application --> In "Misc" section --> Check "Advanced permission system" --> "Ok" button.
