SQ does not stop being logged

I have a hosted server that the provider have forcefully (greyed out) set to not log query activities, yet my logs are just filled with gametracker and various other query based checkers. I made a ticket with my provider over this and they think it is a bug with the TeamSpeak server. I recall trying to replicate the problem weeks/months ago when I first reported the issue to them but I was able to replicate it. Maybe it is because they use mysql and I am using defaults the server comes with? Not sure, but I figured I would mention it just in case it legitimately is a bug.

I can't reproduce this with SQL /MYSQL on my local server 3.0.10.3

I only see this, when loggin was enabled.
    Code:
06.06.2014 09:43:19	VirtualServer	Info	query client connected 'Unknown from 127.0.0.1:50388'(id:19)
06.06.2014 09:43:29	VirtualServerBase	Info	query client disconnected 'Unknown from 127.0.0.1:50388'(id:19) reason 'reasonmsg=deselected virtualserver'
06.06.2014 09:43:29	VirtualServer	Info	query client connected 'serveradmin from 127.0.0.1:50388'(id:1)
06.06.2014 09:43:59	VirtualServerBase	Info	query client disconnected 'serveradmin from 127.0.0.1:50388'(id:1) reason 'reasonmsg=deselected virtualserver'

What events do you mean by this? Can you give us an example? Are there other logging features enabled?

    06/06/2014 17:07:20 Query Info query from 161888 108.61.78.148:49113 issued: clientupdate client_nickname=GameTracker

All logging is enabled except for query, yet all these logs are showing up over and over and over again. I have no way of fixing it.

I don't get that log entry even if query is enabled. Something is definitely wrong here.

To me this looks much like the ini file option "logquerycommands=1"... this can only be controlled in the server's ini file and not via client or server query. So your hoster has to modify the ini file and restart the whole server instance. If you and your hoster want to turn this off.

If set to "1", the server will log every ServerQuery command executed by clients. This can be useful while trying to diagnose several different issues.
P.S.: And I don't think there is anything wrong... IMHO an ini option is meant to over write every other setting.

But why would that effect individual virtual servers? I would think that ini setting would be a separate over all instance logging and then individual virtual servers have their settings from the GUI on the client.

No, afaik setting the ini file option "logquerycommands=1" will force every virtual server running in the server instance to log any server query command. It will even ignore or over write virtual server individual setting to not log query. It is a "debug function" controlled at ini level of the main server instance, it is meant to ignore any feeble setting made my a server owner/admin.

SQ does not stop being logged

I have unchecked the log server query box in my server but server query queries still show on my list. Please assist. I really need to stop logging server queries as to not overflow my logs with stuff!

If your logs are filled with stuff like in post#6 of this thread:
    http://forum.teamspeak.com/showthrea...477#post381477
then the solution by Barungar follows in post#7
else you should give more information.

That is what i am experiencing i will get with my provider to see if we can stop this. Can it be re-enabled on a virtual server basis if it is turned off in that config file?

As Barungar says in post#9, in the same thread, it applies to all the virtual servers. I also think this parameter has sense in a private server for debugging or maintenance of a query process or service. In a 'public server' only multiplies the log file size and makes hard its reading.

Any "hoster" who actives the "logquerycommands" on his productive servers without any real need hasn't earned the title of "hoster".
